Q:
What
tips and suggestions I should know before buying a gown
from PiggyTiggy
?
A:
You should have a concept
of your wedding style. This will dictate the formality
or style of your gown. If you are having a garden
wedding at noon, the style of gown will be different
than a candlelight ceremony in a church.
Second
you need to look for a style that flatters your figure.
Know
your body proportions. Start by analyzing your body to
know your good points (and not so good points).
You
need to understand that bridal gowns run smaller than
regular dresses and are not ordered by size, but by
measurements. Everyday clothes have easing built into
them. Bridal fashions have no easing and are cut to fit
the body. Bridal gown sizes vary. Please
note that each designer uses a different size chart so
you won't be able to assume that a size 8 from one
manufacturer will fit the same way a size 8 does from
another manufacturer.
Have your measurements taken by an experience tailor
or seamstress.
You
should have your bust, waist and hips measured.
In each description we provide you a measurement.
This will allow you to cross-reference
your measurements with measurements from the dress.
Keep in mind that it is much easier for a seamstress to
take a dress "in" than to "let out"
the seams. Not every dress can be let out.
However, it's best to choose the size that will require
the least alteration.
Q:
Can
I pick up my gown?
A:
Unfortunately,
you cannot pickup your gown. We are a
"virtual" bridal Internet-based auction store.
We do not have a physical storefront.
Q:
Can
I come to try on the gown or browse your selection
before purchasing it?
A:
Unfortunately,
there is no try on. As mentioned earlier, most of our
gowns are brand new and have never been tried on by an
actual person. We would like to keep the gown in its
original condition. This is a strict policy we abide by.
We believe it would be in the best interest of our
buyers and they can rest assured that the gown is NEW.
Also we are a "virtual" bridal
Internet-based auction store. We do not have a physical
storefront. Therefore we are unable to accommodate you.
Q:
How
do you prepare and package the gown?
A:
The
gown is first carefully inspected. Next folded and
wrapped in a clear plastic garment bag or dry
cleaning plastic bag. Then placed in a standard brown
cardboard box or USPS Priority Mail box. The box is then sealed for shipping.
Q:
Can
I buy a gown directly?
A:
Yes
you can buy a gown directly thru the "Buy It
Now" option and our online store (www.PiggyTiggy.com).
However, if a gown has received bids, the auction
will continue and the gown will be reserved for the
highest bidder. It would be unethical to end an auction
early to favor one bidder over another. Please note, we
reserve the right to end auctions early due to wrong
item listed, errors in description, etc.
Q:
Is
it possible to order a particular gown thru PiggyTiggy?
A:
If
the auction listing states that the gown is orderable
then you definitely can. You must email us in advance on
the orderable item AND you must first place a winning
bid on the gown.
Q:
Do
you have this gown in a different size or color?
A:
We
may have this gown in a different size or color. Please
email us here
for color and/or size availability. If available, we
will list a "Buy It Now" auction on the gown.
Q:
Can
I bid and buy with confidence?
A:
You
can definitely BID AND BUY WITH CONFIDENCE !!!

Q:
Are
there any other hidden fees?
A:
No.
Besides the high bid amount, you will incur fixed
shipping and handling charges (please see item listing
for exact amount).
California residents will incur 8.25% sales tax.
These fees will be calculated to the final bid
once the auction has ended.
Q:
Do
you have a return policy?
A:
Unfortunately
at this time we do not offer a return policy due to the
nature of auctions and the fact that most of our gowns
are in perfect condition - NEW and have never been tried
on. We believe this is in the best interest of our
buyers.
Q:
What
is the condition of your gowns?
A:
Ninety-five
percent of the gowns we sell are new and have never been
tried on. The rest are showroom samples and have been
put on model forms but have not been worn by an actual
person. Most of our gowns are in perfect/excellent
condition. Therefore we list our gowns as being in
excellent condition and/or brand-new.
However there may be some gowns that are listed
as "good." "Good" means that this
particular gown may have a few missing or loose beads or
dirt around the hemline but there are no noticeable
flaws. We
try to be as thorough as possible to describe the
condition of the gowns. Any
flaws, spots, stains or needed repairs would be
disclosed on the item auction listing page.
Q:
How
are you able to offer these gowns at such affordable
prices?
A:
We
import large quantity of gowns directly from major
manufacturers' FACTORIES overseas at discounted prices.
Therefore we eliminate the middleman (agent,
distributors, wholesalers, importers, retailers, etc).
This lowers our cost and we are able to pass on the
savings to you.
