Do you have this gown in a different size or color?

 

PiggyTiggy carries hundreds of bridal gowns in sizes 4 to 30 in white, off-white and ivory. However, if your selection is not in stock in your color choice or size, ask our LIVE CHAT consultant or email us whether your selection is available as a special order. If available, your prepaid special order can usually be shipped to you within 8-12 weeks of order confirmation.

Do you offer alterations?

 

Unfortunately we do not offer alterations. Stock items are made according to our size chart. Special custom made order are made specifically according to the measurements provided by buyers. If you do need further alterations, please visit your local seamstress.

What tips and suggestions I should know before buying a gown from PiggyTiggy?

 

First you should have a concept of your wedding style. This will dictate the formality or style of your gown. If you are having a garden wedding at noon, the style of gown will be different than a candlelight ceremony in a church. Second you need to look for a style that flatters your figure. Know your body proportions. Start by analyzing your body to know your good points (and not so good points). Third you need to understand that bridal gowns run smaller than regular dresses and are not ordered by size, but by measurements. Everyday clothes have easing built into them. Bridal fashions have no easing and are cut to fit the body. Bridal gown sizes vary. Please note that each designer uses a different size chart so you won't be able to assume that a size 8 from one manufacturer will fit the same way a size 8 does from another manufacturer. Fourth, have your measurements taken by an experience tailor or seamstress. You should have your bust, waist and hips measured. In each description we provide you a measurement. This will allow you to cross-reference your measurements with measurements from the dress. Keep in mind that it is much easier for a seamstress to take a dress "in" than to "let out" the seams. Not every dress can be let out. However, it's best to choose the size that will require the least alteration.

Again, we strongly recommend having your measurements taken by a professional seamstress. Measurements should be taken in the undergarment you plan to wear with your bridal gown. If you cannot get professional measurement, we strongly advise that you do not take the measurements yourself. Have someone help you and follow the guidelines below. You are responsible for ordering the right size.

 

Bust Measurement - Measure the bustline at the fullest part of your chest. Stand naturally with your heels together. Let your arms rest by the side of your body. Position the tape so it covers the widest part of the back and the fullest part of your chest. Keep a thumb in the inside of the tape.

 

Waist Measurement - Place your hands at your natural waistline. This is where the tape should be positioned. Stand with your stomach at its natural position. Leave a little room by keeping a thumb on the inside of the tape. Do not pull the tape tight.

 

Hip Measurement - Stand naturally with your heels together in a relaxed posture. If you are measuring for a sheath dress, position the tape around the fullest part of your bottom. If you are measuring for an A-line dress, position the tape around the fullest part of your hip. Leave a little room by keeping a thumb on the inside of the tape. Do not pull the tape tight.

 

Hollow-to-Hem Measurement - Hollow-to-hem is a specific length measurement used for bridal gowns only. The hollow-to-hem measurement is taken from the depression at the base of the neck just above the collarbone to the hem. When taking this measurement, you will need to account for the fullness of an A-line or full-skirt gown by moving the tape forward away from the body, at the hem. The tape should be pulled out according to the fullness of the skirt. You will need to take the measurement with the exact heel height you will be wearing. Standard hollow-to-hem typically is 58 inches.

 

Matching Measurements to Size - Once you have taken your measurements, see the size chart. You might find yourself ordering larger sizes than you usually wear. These measurements are taken to determine the closest size to be ordered. The bridal gown or bridesmaid dress is not custom made to exact measurements. Bridal gowns or bridesmaid dresses typically require final alteration. If your measurements indicate one size for the "bust" and a different size for the "waist/ and or hips", we suggest ordering according to the largest measurement. Gowns and dresses can easily be taken in if they are too large.

What is the condition of your gowns?

 

Ninety-Five percent of our gowns are brand new and in the original manufacturer's packaging. They are in pristine condition. The rest are showroom samples and have been put on model forms but have not been worn by an actual person. We try to be as thorough as possible to describe the condition of the gowns. Any flaws would be disclosed.

How are you able to offer these gowns at such affordable prices?

 

We are an online bridal shop with very little overhead since we do not have an expensive storefront. We also import our dresses directly from major manufacturers' factories overseas at discounted prices. Therefore we eliminate the middleman (agent, distributors, wholesalers, importers, retailers, etc). This lowers our cost and we are able to pass on the savings to you. We offer designer quality dresses and accessories at below wholesale prices. When you purchase a wedding dress through other bridal shops, by the time you receive the dress and have it in your hand, these same dresses are priced at $600-$1,000. When you purchase a wedding dress from PiggyTiggy, you are purchasing a gown that has never been tried on by an actual person at a factory discounted price.

When do you ship?

 

We ship every business day (Monday-Friday excluding holidays). Once payment is received and clears the account, shipment is usually the next business day. All packages will be shipped by U.S. Postal Service. We reserved the right to determine the methods of shipping. If you need an item delivered by a certain time, please contact us prior to purchase for shipping fees and scheduling. Insurance is included for the first $100.00 for wedding gown orders only. Additional insurance may be requested at additional costs. If you are purchasing other merchandise that is not a wedding gown, we highly recommend that you purchase insurance. Check the shipping information on the bottom of the product page. We will not be responsible for any damage or item lost during transit.

General Shipping Information

 

Orders are processed once credit card authorization and verification have been obtained. Orders are processed on weekdays (Monday through Friday, not including holidays). Orders place on Saturdays, Sundays or Public Holidays will not be processed until the next postal business day. Orders received with valid payment by 12:00 p.m. Pacific Standard Time usually ships the next business day. On rare occasions, we may delay shipping an order by 1 or 2 business days if an item on the order is sold out and we expect it to be restocked within 1 business day. If you have timing constraints and need us to process and ship your order as soon as possible, please be sure to contact us prior to placing the order so that we can review the order and payment, and flag it for rush processing.

Shipping Availability

 

We always make every effort to ship your order the same day or next business day after the order was placed and payment was made. Each order must go through a credit approval process and then be sent to the warehouse where it will be shipping from. Our warehouse has a cutoff time. Orders that arrive at the shipping warehouse past the cutoff time will typically ship within 2 business days.

For regular shipping, all packages are shipped via United States Postal Service (USPS). We may use USPS Priority Mail or USPS First Class Mail at our discretion depending on the size of your order. 

***For large shipments or special orders, we may use UPS (United Parcel Service) at our discretion depending on the size of your order.

Wrong Address Charges

 

1. When a customer enters an incorrect address, our shipping carriers may charge us a fee to locate the correct address so the package can be delivered. We will pass this charge on to the customer. This occurs very rarely and we will always attempt to contact the customer first before we ship the package if the address appears questionable or unable to verify by the carriers' "Address Verification System".

 

2. If you enter an incorrect shipping/billing address such that the package is shipped to another person and cannot be recovered, we will have to charge you the FULL order amount again if you want the order to be reshipped to the correct address. We cannot issue refunds for address mistakes that are out of our control.

Undeliverable Packages / Refused Order Charges

 

If we send a package through one of our shipping carriers and they are unable to deliver the package after multiple attempts, then the carriers may charge us a fee to return the package to us. We will have to in turn charge that fee to the customer. This is also apply to a package which arrive at your door and is refused. We treat both of these instances as a "product return" and your refund will be the total amount of the invoice "deduct" any incoming and outgoing shipping charges incurred to ship your package, package refusal or undeliverable package by any carrier. ALL SHIPPING & HANDLING FEES ARE NON-REFUNDABLE.

 

Please note that undeliverable packages rarely occur and we will always attempts to contact you first before initiating a return or charging any fee. We encourage our customers to always double check their shipping/billing address and be aware of any tracking information we send to you via email.

We understand that planning a wedding can be very stressful and choosing a wedding gown can add to that pressure. We want you to be completely satisfied with your gown purchase. Therefore we now offer a return and exchange policy, something that is rarely heard of in the bridal industry.

 

PiggyTiggy guarantee every item you buy to be free of defects in material and workmanship. If you are not completely satisfied with the item that you have purchased, please return the new and unopened item, purchased from PiggyTiggy (GFI) within 7 days of delivery in the same condition you have received for replacement or refund. 100% MONEY BACK GUARANTEED on UNOPENED items only. No restocking fee or processing fee. Shipping and handling fee is non refundable. All OPENED items will be subject to a 20% - 30% restocking fee or $5 minimum, whichever is greaterRestocking Fee charges depend on the product/item returned. PLEASE read: Please examine the package before removing/breaking the security seal or opening the clear plastic wrap. For exchanges, you are responsible for the Shipping fees of returning the item to us as well as the Shipping fees of the new item being shipped to you. Refund or exchange will be granted once the item has been returned, inspected, and deemed that no damage or alterations have been made. Please contact us prior to sending in your return or exchange. All returns/exchanges require a Return Merchandise Authorization Number (RMA#) to be process. Returns/exchanges without a RMA# will be refused.  We reserve the right to refuse any return that shows sign of usage or damage by Buyer due to misuse or accident. All return merchandise must be carefully packed and insured to avoid any lost or damages during the shipping process. No consideration of refund or exchange will be accepted regardless of circumstance after 7 days of receiving item(s).

All customers should contact us in the event that their item is not exactly what they expected. We are eager to ensure that every transaction ends on a positive note.  Refunds will not be given to customers posting negative or neutral feedback prior to a good faith attempt to resolve any dispute.

Defective, Damaged or Misshipped Items

 

If the merchandise arrives damaged, you must contact us via email within 48 hours after the carrier delivers the package. Please visit www.usps.com for instructions on filing a damage or lost claim. We inspect every piece of merchandise that leaves our warehouse. All merchandise that leaves our facility is brand new. If our staff finds that the merchandise is defective or damaged, we will contact the manufacturer to ship you a replacement as quickly as possible. If we find that the merchandise is not defective or has been misused, then the merchandise will be shipped back to you. PiggyTiggy will not incur shipping or insurance charges on merchandise that is found not damaged or misused. You will receive a refund for the item(s) and shipping and handling costs for defective, damaged or mis-shipped items. For all other items, shipping and handling costs cannot be refunded. (Note: Return shipping cost refunds are calculated using the lowest cost shipping method. Items returned via expedited shipping methods will only be refunded an amount equal to the lowest cost shipping method).
